It offers children the opportunity to enjoy being around ponies, via
a pony party
hour long 1:1 experience
open afternoons
and other pony activities, inlcuding school holiday activities
Children build their confidence around the pony by spending some time grooming and decorating a pony with ribbons, clips and stickers. They then have an opportunity to ride a pony.
Some activities also include pony themed quizzes, nature walks and pony themed craft.
The business is NOT about teaching children to ride-it’s a very different experience to that gained at a riding school.
The business is firmly about the children having a wonderful experience, rather than being led around on a pony, so whatever their visit, there should be plenty of interaction with questions from all sides and lots of tales and information to inform the children.
It’s also great for children who struggle with learning/communication/confidence as the ponies don’t have expectations or judge, so the children can just be themselves
The number of children visiting can vary between 1 (an hours pony experience) and 20 (pony party or open day), generally with 1 or 2 ponies participating.
